Concerts: Update

In May of 2010 I posted an entry about all of the concerts i've been to. I've gone to a few more since then and I wanted to do an update. If you haven't read my other post i'll put a link on the bottom of this entry. Thanks for reading!

(2010) Orianthi/Jesse James: This concert was a blast! We got to go right up to the stage which was incredible and Orianthi can rock her heart out. Jesse James opened for her and while she's a good singer and her songs are catchy...she's kind of irritating. I would love to go see Orianthi again! We did get a chance to meet her and there are pictures on my blog showing them.

(2010) Everclear: Oh my Gawd. I have loved Everclear since I was a wee tot. Art Alexakis is so damn good i'm telling you. They put on a great show. There was a new lineup, the only original member being Art Alexakis. After the show we did get a chance to meet him and he was super nice. I would definatly go and see them again.

(2010) My Darkest Days/Hinder: I had never heard of My Darkest Days until this concert and let me just tell you what...they are so damn good! You have no idea how good. I fell so in love with them that I preordered their cd that night! We got a chance to meet the band after they performed and they were all really nice guys. I've already seen Hinder before so they already had my heart. However the first time I saw them I was SOOOOOOOO far away I could barely see anything. This time I was resting my arms on the stage. Austin Winkler sweat dripping inches away from me. Ahhh yes...Good concert.

(2010) Tesla: Going to see Tesla was a complete spur of the moment kind of thing. We were given tickets on Friday and went on Saturday. They put on a hell of a show. My mom has always had me listen to them so i've grown up in love with them. We didn't get to go up front for this one so that of course was a huge bummer but for the last song we did get to walk up closer. They were awesome and i'd love to see them agian.

(2010) Avenged Sevenfold: Hands down best concert i've ever attended. Fire? Check. Mad ligh show? Check. Man hanging from ceiling? Check. These guys were so incredible! I'm telling you right now that if you have not seen them you need to go out right now and buy some tickets! They also did a tribute to Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan who was their drummer. It was beautiful and i'm pretty sure there wasn't a dry eye in the house.

(2011) Dokken/Skid Row: I will be honest and say that I did not have high hopes for Dokken. I haven't listened to much by them so I was a little uncertain as to whether or not i'd enjoy myself. However once they got on I thought to myself, "Self? Why have you not been listening to this band?!?!?!" They were really great and very interactive with the audience. Skid Row came on next and they blew me away. I've seen them before and they were incredible so I didn't think they could out due themselves....They did.

Skid Row Concert

I've mentioned before in a previous post that I have seen Skid Row in concert. This past August I got the oppertunity to go and see them again! They played with Dokken and both bands put on a sick show! With that being said I love Skid Row more ; ) Here are some pictures!
This pictures if of my brother Nick, Rob (drummer for Skid Row) and me.

Read and Rock: American Idol "TOP 13"

CONSTESTANTS:

Lauren Alaina: I have loved this girl from the second she opened her mouth. I think that she is insanely talented and she's my favorite on the show.

James Durbin: James is my 2nd favorite. I love him. I'm about to say something that i'm sure you've read 50 times already...He reminds me of Adam Lambert. This boy can sing and I can't wait to hear more from him!

Jacob Lusk: Oh. My. Gawd. When this boy sang "God Bless The Child" I cried like a baby. That was the best performance i've ever seen in the hollywood round AND the best version of that song i've ever heard. He's incredible.

Paul McDonald: I will admit something about Paul...I did not really pay attention to him in the begining. I started to like him only a week or two ago. When he sang Rod Stewart this week though...OH MAN he certainly snuck his way into my heart. I LOVE him!

Casey Abrams: I think Casey has one of the most unique voices i've ever heard on Idol. He's also really funny and I like to watch him do his thing on stage. He's special and I hope he sticks around.

Scotty McCreery: This boy is what country music is about. I don't care if he wins or not he's got a recording contract. I can already hear him on country stations. He's great in my book!

Thia Megia: I heart Thia Megia. She has such a chill vibe and I can see myself listening to her records. She's a sweetie and i'm looking forward to seeing her in the weeks to come.

Pia Toscano: Okay so this girl is the dark horse. She has an incredible talent and she's only just started to show us. I think she's going to be on the show for awhile. (And p.s. does anybody else thing she looks like Selena Gomez???)

Karen Rodriguez: I think Karen is spicy and talented. She has a beautiful voice and I love her attitude. When she sang Hero by Mariah Carey this week I thought it was great.

Haley Reinhart: I don't want to be mean but i'm here to be honest. I think that this girl can sing. I also can tell you that she is growing on me. However I am not a huge fan of her voice. She seems like a great girl but I just don't know if I really want her to stay. It's sad to me because I can't remember her until I see a picture. I don't think that's ever good. But we'll see.

Stefano Langone (WILDCARD): I LOVE Stefano! I think he is really talented and his voice makes me happy. He seems like such a sincere guy and I just love him. He's here to stay. I am incredibly happy that the judges kept him.

Naima Adedapo (WILDCARD): I really enjoy listening to Naima sing. She sings with her heart and I love that. I'm very happy that the judges put her through to the top 13.

Ashthon Jones (WILDCARD): Okay...To be honest I don't know how I feel about this girl anymore. I think she can sing her pretty little face off and she definatly has stage presence. However this week she did seem to have a bit of an attitude that I guess I either didn't notice before or she just developed it. Either way i'm undecided on her as of now.

*I just want to say that all of the pictures that I used are from http://www.americanidol.com/ There you will find a list of the cast and pretty much everything else you'd want to know about American Idol Season 10.
